At ECC, we believe in the power of community connections. Our community engagement services empower individuals to actively participate in planning meaningful activities outside of their homes—encouraging the development of genuine relationships and interactions beyond their immediate support networks.

The goal of community engagement is to foster inclusive, natural experiences that promote interaction with people of all abilities. Each outing is thoughtfully planned in alignment with the individual’s Personal Support Plan and tailored to their unique interests and preferences.

While participating in community activities, ECC emphasizes personal choice and promotes independence at every opportunity—ensuring each individual’s voice is heard and respected.

Examples of Community Activities Include:

• Health & Wellness: Attending sporting events, visiting the gym, enjoying nature walks, or exploring local parks
   
• Creative Expression: Participating in art classes, photography, gardening, or visiting the library
   
• Spiritual Growth: Engaging in church services, praise groups, or meditation sessions
   
• Self-Care: Scheduling haircuts, nail appointments, or barber visits
   
• Recreation: Going to the movies, arcades, museums, or fishing spots
   
• Shopping: Visiting favorite retail stores, local shops, or malls
